Melissa , age 15, from the Countryside Gymnastics Lebanon Club, one of
the most graceful and talented gymnasts of the club. She has been hampered by
injuries during 2 years, she has now recovered from a long-time ankle injury and is currently a Level 6. She has many
advanced skills and would be capable of beating even the top Level 7's or
8's. Melissa has many other talents outside of gymnastics. She loves animals (she raises chickens on her family's farm), is an excellent student and an avid needleworker, making beautiful crochet blankets. Melissa also works all day at Summer Gymnastics Camp and teaches recreational classes in the evenings in addition to her own training hours with the Team. This photo was taken at the large training camp attended by the Countryside Gymnastics at Lake Owen in Wisconsin (20-26 July 2003).
